Since virus struck the Khealakh system there has been no centralised government on the planet. Instead the world broke up into eleven states, each controlled by a clan. The clans vary greatly in size from the two hundred million in the Aoiftu clan to forty-one million in the Felakhiy clan. Each claims to be the ruler of the entire world. In actual fact all are offshoots of the original Aoiftu clan. However the in-fighting following virus resulted in the almost total loss of the worlds technology. |

The clan leaders remain in power using relic technology of around TL8 with the remainder of the population limited to TL2. One clan, Faleaw, is "ruled" by a human lord. The remainder by a mixture of male and female Aslan. |
