The Battleaxe class of medium fighter are the most numerous of the TL11 fighter
designs to survive into Hope Federation service. Somewhat lightly armed the
Hope Federation mostly uses the fighters for planetary strike missions,
especially in the ongoing insurgency on Nakajima. To this end the 3.4 cubic
meter internal cargo bay is used for ordnance.
Again like other craft of higher than the Hope Federations surrent
manufacturing capacity, the Battleaxe class fighters are kept in service by
cannibalisation of non operational examples.
