The Iris class long range shuttle is another pre virus design. This class of vessels are used as light merchant and passenger vessels within the various systems which make up the Hope Federation. Although not originally armed provision for 42 cubic meter turret was included in the design and most surviving examples are armed. |

| Notes | |
|
No Fuel purification machinery is fited Fuel scoop capacity 280 cubic meters per hour. (1.34 hours for entire load exclusive of power plant). Life support and inertial compensation does not extend to the fuel spaces. When vessel is armed an additional crewman (gunner) is added, generally at the expense of a passenger however it is not unknown for crew to share staterooms to allow additional passengers to be carried. |
