The Estoc class escort destroyer was one of several classes found in the third
imperium designed to meet the specifications of the ED-11 type. Like the other
classes which met this type specification the Estocs were of ten thousand
displacement tons and had a jump-2 and 4G capability. In some backwater areas
of the imperium the Estocs were sometimes classed as light cruisers and were
deployed as such.
Commanders are advised that ED series vessels were known to have been operated
by Imperial client states, and may have found their way into the Banners
sector.
