The Valour or Valor class missile corvettes were employed in large numbers by the Third Imperium. Limited in deployment due to the entirely missile armament they proved especially vulnerable during the rebellion. Becomming helpless when missiles were depleted. When virus struck the surviving Valours had already been relegated to secondary and reserve duties, and were primarily used for routine patrols in rear areas. Virus attacks further reduced the number of this class. However when part of a "vampire" fleet the Valours again found themselves relegated to reserves.The Valour class vessels which can still be found have generally been refitted, normally losing two of the missile barbettes, replacing them with lasers. The power for these being available from the CG lifters which are of course not used in space.
