While charted space continues for several sectors past Banners, the proportion
of human settled worlds in the subsectors gradually falls the closer to the
edge of charted space you approach. Mendon subsector shows this decline with
several un-exploited systems pre virus, and other systems only lightly
developed.
So unexploited was the subsector that when virus passed through most worlds barely noticed. Only the loss of what little trade came to the region having any real significant effect. The only system lost was that of Pilum, as a result of life support failure. In the years since the total population in the subector has risen around 20%.
