The planet Requin is the seat of the baron deRequin and is a colony of Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne. Requin maintains the full array of planetary government offices and functions though in a reduced size due to the colonies low population. Due to the colonies primary reason for existance it does maintain a larger military presence of both navy and marines.

Requin is currently a single, now hereditary administrative district which answers to the baron deRequin.

Executive and Legislative authority is vested in the baron deRequin who is also a member of the Royaume Council on Cygne. The monarch can in theory overrule decisions by the baron in relation to Requin but has so far not done so.

Judicial authority is vested in professional lawyers who are appointed to their positions by the Le Royaume Council. No lord high justice has so far been appointed to Requin. Judicial decisions which need this level of authority are currently heard by a lord high justice of Cygne. The commodore of the naval base is responsible for the administration of justice in the naval/marine base facilities.
