The planet Margot is the seat of the baron deMargot and is a growing colony of Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne. Margot maintains the full array of planetary government offices and functions though in a reduced size due to the colonies low population.

Margot is currently a single, now hereditary administrative district which answers to the baron deMargot.

Executive and Legislative authority is vested in the baron deMargot who is also a member of the Royaume Council on Cygne. The monarch can in theory overrule decisions by the baron in relation to Margot but has so far not done so.

Judicial authority is vested in professional lawyers who are appointed to their positions by the Le Royaume Council. No lord high justice has so far been appointed to Margot. Judicial decisions which need this level of authority are currently heard by the lord high justice of Dunois.
