The moon Anorre is one of only two satellites which orbit the gas giant Ailette in the Ross 248 system. It is the principal of three colonies which have been established, all in the ten years since 2650, in the system. Making them the youngest colonies of Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne.

Like the colonies in the EV Lacertae system those in the Ross 248 system are mining facilities operated under charter of Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne by the Daedalus Mining Combine. The only operating mines are all located on the moon Anorre while a semi permanent exploration facility has been set up on Ailette's other moon Suippe. The facility on the planetoid Michelet houses some type of research facility funded by Daedalus, it is off limits to non-company employees.

Given the small size and age of the colonies in the Ross 248 system none are completely self sufficient. The mine on Anorre and the exploration/survey camp on Suippe both operate on two year contracts for the staff. The conditions of employment at the Michelet Research Facility are kept secret by Daedalus.
