The LHS 292 (LP 731-58) system has only recently been claimed by the Eridani Alliance. The proposed main world LHS 292 I was just beginning to be surveyed when the brief Alliance civil war erupted. The survey team was withdrawn leaving the advanced base behind.

LHS 292 I is in a tidal resonant lock with the primary, rotating three times for every two orbits. Any settlements on the world will need to take into account that LHS 292 is a flare star
