The planet Visigoth is the principal world of the Luyten's Star star system and is a member of the Sirius Trade Federation. The world is administered by corporations of the Sirius Trade Federation under the auspices of the Sirius Trade Federation Board.

As is normal for worlds administered as part of the Sirius Trade Federation the world itself has no say in government. Government is provided by the various corporations and only major shareholders in the corporations have any influence. Most major shareholders tend to be located at Sirius Major in the Sirius system. So the inhabitants of Visigoth have very little say in local government, though all are technically employed by one or another corporation of the Federation.
