Back to the Major Componants of the Star System

Though the Ross 128 star system has been known of for centuries it is only in recent years that any attention has been paid to it. Detailed survey work of the bodies of the system has only been underway since 2659 and has so far concentrated on the moon Vampyre.

The moon is very seismically active and has a high density, this attracted several mining companies, notably BHP Trans and Consolidated Mining Group, both of which have established mines on the moon despite the harsh conditions. Numerous mining exploration teams continue to survey the body.

The two principle mines on Vampyre are named Borgia, owned by BHP Trans and Machiavelli owned by Consolidated Mining Group. There is no permanent population on Vampyre, but the transient workforce at any one time is around 7,500.
