The moon Vampyre is administered as a territory of the United Worlds Commonwealth. Actual administrative functions are presently limited to the two mining settlements, Borgia and Machiavelli. UWC authority is represented by a Mining Survey Office whose task is to deal with low level disputes over mining claims on the moon, and a small law enforcement detachment with offices at each of the principle mining settlements.

The moon is not entitled to any representatives on the Commonwealths Legislative Assembly having an insufficient permanent population to qualify for any seats.
