The F591 Starhawk class of fighter was designed by Aerospatiale Cygne of Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne as a replacement for the TL9 fighters equipping their ex UWC Wasp class carriers. Like its predecessor the F1A Star Lightning, the Starhawk is armed entirely with missiles and does not carry a CG lifter limiting the fighters usefulness in planetary environments. The fighter has not proven popular, its limited armament and acceleration have limited deployment to upgraded Wasp class fighters and even though the UWC bought a number for its older carriers very few are in any role other than training. |
