The four battleships of the Grand Duke Michael class make up the total
battleship strength currently in service with the Grand Duchy of Grenadine.
Obsolete in comparison with the battleships in service with the United Worlds
Commonwealth and Le Royaume des Etoiles du Cygne, Grenadine is very proud of
these vessels which were built using entirely local infrastructure and
technology. The only items imported were the UWC F2B Hellburner heavy fighters
and the Ariel and Icarus class shuttles carried by the ships.
With surplus power available for future upgrades the government of Grenadine is
currently in discussion with the United Worlds Commonwealth over the possible
upgrading of electronics and weapons systems, similar to the Commonwealths WESU
upgrades of its own TL9 warships.
