The Chairman class battlecruiser makes up the total battlecruiser force of the
Sirius Trade Federation. A total of eight are currently in service with a further eight
examples on order. The ships main armament, a 12,000Mj spinal particle
accelerator is somewhat more powerful than that fitted to the United Worlds
Commonwealth Europa class battleships but like other battlecruisers the ships
armour is light, and the Chairmans are not intended to face such opponants.
The batteries of 40Mj lasers are primarily used in the missile defence role and
when linked via their MFD systems have a good chance of hitting a missile well
outside the missiles detonation range.
