The Boudica class of light cruisers remain in service as the oldest light cruiser class in the UWC fleet. The vessels have reasonable endurance and main armament, but lack the secondary defences and heavier armour of newer classes. Though the hull was stressed for 3.5G the Boudica class light cruisers rarely accelerated at greater than 3.0G in service. The surviving Boudica class vessels in UWC service have been refitted with TL10 components in electronics and weaponry systems as part of the UWCs WESU (Weapons and Electronics Systems Upgrade) program. |
