The Guiseppe Gyro class merchant is a small merchant design fitted with a TL11
Hyperspace Translation drive. This has given them a somewhat better cargo
capacity
compared to merchants such as the Maverick class which are fitted with the
older TL10 version.
Given the economics of space it is expected that the Guiseppe Gyro and similar
advanced vessels
will largely replace the Mavericks and similarly equipped vessels on most
routes.
