The Porter class cutter was designed as a replacement for the aging and obsolete Ariel and Icarus class cutters carried by the Euphrates River class bulk carriers. Having proven quite versatile the Porters have gradually found there way throughout human space and are found at most starports in both the UWC and neighbouring states. |
