Developed on Earth at the same time as the 0.01Mj laser carbine the 0.01Mj laser pistol utilises the same power pack as the carbine. The weapon itself is about half the mass of the carbine, but this has come at the expense of range. Like the carbine the pistol is still sometimes found in higher tech forces as a target designator and personal defence weapon against unarmoured opponents. |
