MkIb class light battledress
The United Worlds Commonwealth
Back to the Equipment Main contents

The MkIb class of light battledress was the first type of powered armour to enter service with UWC forces and is still found in many units. It was a derivative of the Mk1a which was powered by batteries rather than the fuel cell of the Ib. The MkIa never entered production and only a few prototypes were built.

Notes:

* Assuming total loaded mass does not exceed 0.42 tons

The armour is contructed from crystal iron and may carry an additional 53.9kg in integral fittings without further penalties, more if the PLSS system is not required. The suit normally generates a -3 Agility and -2 Initiative Rating.
The exoskeletons normal maximum loaded mass is 420kg which the fuel cell is configured for. Additional loading will either reduce the endurance of the existing cell or require and additional fuel cell to provide additional power.
The suit may be overloaded by up to 30% (Maximum load 546kg) but each 10% increment results in a further -1 Agility and -1 Initiative Rating
Storage volume is 0.12 kiloliters.
