The MkIIa class of heavy battledress uses the same exoskeleton as the MkIb light battledress but carries heavier armour at the expense of loss of provision for additional integral fixtures.

The armour is contructed from crystal iron and may carry an additional 32.9kg in integral fittings without further penalties, more if the PLSS system is not required. The suit normally generates a -3 Agility and -2 Initiative Rating.
The exoskeletons normal maximum loaded mass is 420kg which the fuel cell is configured for. Additional loading will either reduce the endurance of the existing cell or require and additional fuel cell to provide additional power.
The suit may be overloaded by up to 30% (Maximum load 546kg) but each 10% increment results in a further -1 Agility and -1 Initiative Rating
Storage volume is 0.12 kiloliters.
