The Arclight class grav fire support was designed to provide rapid fire support to infantry teams. To this end the vehicle is fitted with a six barrel 12cm auto-cannon for which a wide variety of ammunition is produced.

Like many vehicles designed at the time the Arclight shares many components with the Fox and Jaguar series of vehicles.
