Kanone G-M50 class grav assault gun

The G-M50 Kanone class grav assault gun was used by Terran forces to provide heavy support. At the time there was much argument as to whether the M50 should be controlled by artillery or armoured units. Armoured units won out. Resulting in many Kanone's being deployed as grav tanks despite their weak armour. The fitting of a naval 500Mj Fusion Gun provided their offensive punch, it also made the Kanone a high priority target as with remote fire control the main weapon could reach vessels in orbit.
